The University of Mumbai invites the applications for the Ph.D. Entrance Examination in the concerned subject of research of the Faculty of Arts, Commerce, Science, Law and Technology.<br /> <br /> <strong>✓ </strong>Date and Time of Entrance Test:-<br /> <strong>✓ </strong>Starting date for acceptance of application form: <br /> <strong>✓ </strong>Last date for acceptance of application form : <br /> <br /> <strong>Eligibility:</strong> - As per Annexure-I (VCD No. Exam/Thesis/Univ./VCD/2414 of 2019). Please refer Annexure-II (The relevant University circular 441 of 2019, for O.5473 and O.5476)<br /> <br /> Candidates appearing for Sem-III/IV of the post-graduate programmes under CBGS or for Part-II of the post-graduate programmes under old course may be allowed to appears for PET-2019. However, their PET results shall be valid only after successfully clearing the post-graduate programmes (with 55% marks for general category students and 50% marks for reserved category students).<br /> <br /> <strong>Registration fees along with Application Form :</strong>- A Demand Draft in the name of 'Finance & Accounts Officer' of the University of Mumbai or in cash of Rs.1000/- for General Category and Rs.500/- for Reserved Category as mentioned in the VCD.<br /> <br /> <em>Syllabus for the Entrance Test:</em>- PET-2015 shall be conducted in the subjects enlisted in Annexure-III (List of Subjects for PET-2015). The syllabus for PET in a given subject shall be the various topics in the Compulsory/Core subjects/papers for the Post Graduate Degree Level Programme of the University of Mumbai for that subject.<br /> 1. Exam/Thesis/Univ./VCD/2414 of 2010<br /> <br /> 2. University Circular 441 of 2005 (for the text of O.5473 and O.5476).<br /> <br /> 3. List of Subjects in which PET-2015 shall be conducted.<br /> <br /> 4. List of subject wise vacancies of Ph.D. seats.<br /> <br /> 5. List of Ph.D. Centers with subjects.<br /> <br /> 6. Admission form for PET-2015.<br /> <br /> The details of subject wise vacancy position of Ph.D. sets along with the Recognized Research Centre and guiding teachers are shown in the Annexure-IV. However, the number of vacancy may change do to transfer of guiding teacher form one Institute to another Institute.<br /> <br /> The Pre Ph.D. Course work is mandatory except for those who have been granted exemption as per U.G.C. rules and regulations which are mentioned in the VCD No. Exam./Thesis/ Univ./VCD/ 2414 of 2010.<br /> <br /> The details regarding the same is available on the University website http://www.mu.ac.in (Research)
